As the Environmental Science Coordinator at Balloon Mission, Taylor works with Long Island Girl Scout troops working to implement Balloon Mission’s balloon collection program in their local communities. It is exciting to see the Girl Scouts prove to be part of the next generation of environmental activists with their dedication, excitement, and success through these projects. She also tables at local events where she shares Ballon Mission’s vision and speaks with the public about the importance of responsible balloon use and the consequences of balloon litter.
Taylor has been fascinated by natural spaces and Long Island’s ecosystems since she was a child. Through summer camp in the woods, beach cleanups, her high school’s Garden Club, and so much more, she fell in love with the natural world and became a passionate advocate for environmental preservation, justice, and education. She is excited to be part of the Balloon Mission team and is so proud of all the work that Cynthia and the team have accomplished!
